Neither Morena nor opposition alliance: Sergio Torres Félix started campaign to govern Sinaloa with MC

Sergio Torres Félix, started this Sunday his electoral campaign for the governorship of Sinaloa with Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) confident that the people will choose him as the best option to administer the state against the ruling party of Morena and the opposition alliance.

At 00:01 at the Government Palace in the capital of Culiacán this Sunday, April 4, Torres Félix began his proselytizing activities, confident that the voters who voted for him in the past already know his work. And is that the candidate to succeed Quirino Ordaz is the former mayor of Culiacán.

Sergio Torres Félix assured that it goes “with everything, if not pa’qué” and that it will make a campaign in the Sinaloa style, but with the care demanded by the health authoritiesTherefore, it will not hold mass events prior to the June 6 elections, where another 14 governorships will be renewed.

Torres Félix promised to “return the greatness to Sinaloa” to “fight for the groups that are forgotten, to recover the budgets that have been unfairly taken from the fishermen, the ranchers, the farmers ”.

Its three guiding axes, he stressed, will be to solve the medical issues in which it has been failed due to the issue of the pandemic, insecurity and job recovery that have been lost by previous bad administrations. The former mayor stated that he feels capable of achieving his goals.

“We are going to fight, we are going to win, we are going to work every day, we will tour the state as many times as necessary to win the contest on June 6. I feel strong, I feel good, I feel prepared and I feel capable to govern Sinaloa, ”he told his followers.

“I have prepared all my life to wait for this moment and I will not waste it. First, God will have a friend in the state government, all those people who have a government close to the people, an empathic government, a supportive government, ”said Sergio Torres Félix.

The first campaign work this morning by the Citizen Movement volunteer team included the placement of stickers on the cars of supporters of the party.

This Sunday also, Sergio Torres Félix presented a 20-point manifesto for his eventual administration of the state of Sinaloa, in the northwest of the country, and He assured that he will sell the aircraft of the government of the entity and Casa Altata.

The former mayor of Culiacán guaranteed that with the money from the sale of the aircraft and the beach house, public health programs will be financed in Sinaloa. In a press conference in which some of his party colleagues were present, he pointed out that “this is his greatest challenge in his political career.”

“I do it at the head of Movimiento Ciudadano, a new, fresh, inclusive organization. I am not a makeshift, I have prepared all my life to assume the most important position in Sinaloa. I held various administrative positions municipalities, the leadership of a union with thousands of members and I graduated with two university degrees ”, reiterated Torres Félix.

In his “manifesto”, Sergio Torres Félix stressed that citizens will have a voice and vote in government decisions. “We will implement, as we did in Culiacán, the Open Cabinet, so that once a month, citizens can express their demands in front of the governor and to his cabinet, in the Government Palace ”, he explained.

He also promised to manage “the greatest of resources, to be able to vaccinate all Sinaloans against Covid as soon as possible.” In addition, will implement “the most extensive preventive health campaign in memory in Sinaloa”, for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, breast cancer among others.

It will also seek to establish a rescue program for more than 10,000 small businesses that the coronavirus pandemic has collapsed, as well as a temporary employment program. Torres Félix also pledged to build at least 100 new public parks and at least 100 new sports units per year.

Finally, Sergio Torres Félix assured that under his mandate, in Sinaloa “a true austerity policy” will be established, starting with the resources destined for the governor. “I will make all my travels and expenses transparent,” he said.

Felix Towers has not yet suffered an electoral defeat in his ascending career, since in the elections as a local deputy (2007-2010), federal deputy (2012-2013) and for the mayor of Culiacán (2014-2016), won his processes.

In the northwest Mexican entity, Torres Félix, who served as Secretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture of Sinaloa between 2018 and 2020 with the government of Quirino Ordaz, will face two tough contenders: the Senator with Morena’s license, Rubén Rocha, former rector of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa and favorite for now in the polls; and to Senator with license from the PRI, Mario Zamora.
