Rafa Nadal signs up for the Rotterdam tournament. This has been confirmed by the organization of the event itself on its social networks, welcoming the Balearic Islands after twelve years of absence. The manacorense will be in the ATP 500 of the Netherlands (March 1 to 7) for the third time in his career, after two participations in which his best role took place in a 2009 edition where he was defeated by Andy Murray in the final.
After the ocean tour of ATP Cup and Open de Australia, the Spaniard would extend his stay on hard surface in Rotterdam, with a view to the start of the Masters 1,000 tour currently in Miami (March 24 to April 4) before the suspension of Indian Wells.
The list of tennis players that will appear on the Rotterdam ticket list as of next February 1 enjoys a very high level, with the presence of Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Stan Wawrinka, Gael Monfils, Kei Nishikori, Jannik Sinner, David Goffin and Roberto Bautista, in addition to the aforementioned Nadal, who was excited to return to the tournament: “I hope to return to the Netherlands. It has been too long since I played in Rotterdam. Now that the season looks so different, it fits well into my schedule. It is a tournament in which I enjoy playing and where I hope to see my Dutch friends and fans. ”
