Municipalities intervene and close hostels in full celebration of Valentine’s Day

This Tuesday, like every February 14, the Valentine’s Day. This is how thousands of couples take the opportunity to party, and the places seem crowded with people. Restaurants, cinemas, shopping centers and hostels are the favorites for this date. With regard to this celebration, the personnel of the Inspection sub-directorate of the Commune of Independenceperformed an operation in hostels located in the Industrial Zone as part of the “Plan SOL” which aims to guarantee safety, order and cleanliness in the neighborhood.

During the intervention, the sanitary and hygienic conditions that the establishments provided, finding mattresses, platforms, pillows, as well as curtains in poor condition and in unsanitary conditions, whose furniture was confiscated and the premises were then closed.

There Commune of Independence carried out an operation on Monday and this February 14 from 3 p.m., its inspection staff also took to the streets to check the condition and operation of other hostels in the area, as well as to check aspects that threaten the health and user service.

The Municipality of Surco closed six hostels on Wednesday that were operating under terrible health and safety conditions. These unexpected visits were made as part of the celebrations of the day of love and friendship.

Thanks to Operation Cupid, led by personnel from Inspection and public health of the municipality, it was possible to preserve the health and safety of the staff.

During the municipal intervention Mattresses, beds, duvets, blankets, towels and pillows were confiscated, which due to their deplorable condition became the focus of dermatological diseases, endangering the health of guests.
