Motochorros shot an 83-year-old man in Recoleta for stealing his watch

It happened a few meters from the russian embassy and some Spanish Consulatein the charming neighborhood of Recoleta. A roar shook the evening from the neighbors: two motorcycles shot an 83-year-old man steal his watch, which turned out to be an imitation of the brand rolex.

Police sources said GlobeLiveMedia that everything happened this Wednesday, around 6:45 p.m., at the corner of Guido and Rodríguez Peña.

After the theft, the thieves escaped and the neighbors called 911. Immediately, personnel from the 2A Neighborhood Police Station of the City Police and SAME arrived. The victim was transferred to Fernández Hospital. “No risk to life,” it was reported.

“The alert was irradiated with the description of the wanted criminals,” they said from the Buenos Aires force.

Last Thursday, 20 blocks from where the old man was shot, also in the neighborhood of Recoleta in Buenos Aires, there was another act of insecurity. It happened in a building on Calle Gallo at 1400, a few meters from the Dr. Ricardo Gutiérrez Children’s Hospital. three armed criminals they entered an apartment on the seventh floor, threatened a woman and stole various personal effects.

According to police sources GlobeLiveMediaon the run one of the thieves fired a shot in the air. However, Jorge, the building manager, said in a dialogue with the press that the shot was actually aimed at a man -husband of the assaulted woman- who met the gang by chance at the door of the building as they were about to flee. The criminals had no purpose and the man was unscathed.

After leaving the building, the thieves got into a Toyota Corolla and fled. Shortly after, officers from the City of Buenos Aires Motorized Police Department found the abandoned vehicle a few blocks away at the corner of Coronel Díaz Avenue and Soler Street.

Inside the car, officers found a Glock pistol, a scabbard served and the license plate that matches the vehicle. The Corolla, according to sources in the case, circulated with another estate.

It is not yet clear how the criminals entered the building. The manager said he didn’t know how it happened. The keeper considers that they would have entered the apartment when the couple’s underage daughter came out to open the father. “The woman was cooking and the girl came downstairs to open the door for her. There, they took the opportunity to enter” the apartment, added the man. Once inside the unit, Cell phones and a tablet were stolen. A few seconds later came the shooting sequence.

“When the thieves came down, the lady said to her husband over the electric intercom: “I have been robbed, here come the thieves!. So they argued with him and shot him,” Jorge revealed.

The witness took the opportunity to express his surprise at the way the thieves were able to enter and did not exclude the possibility that they had a copy of the key. “Could they take advantage of a neighbour’s carelessness?”, asked a reporter. “It’s very difficult, because there were three of them. You can filter out one, but three is rare”he added.
