The following days are marked by law for various Mexican agencies and even for foreign embassies in the national territory.
Holidays and breaks in Mexico for 2022
- Saturday January 1 – New Years
- Monday, February 7 – Commemoration of the promulgation of the Constitution of Mexico of 1917 (the exact day is February 5, but it runs to Monday, so this is the first bridge of the year)
- Monday, March 21 – Day in commemoration of the birth of Benito Juárez, president of Mexico from 1857 to 1872.
- Thursday and Friday April 14 and 15 – They are part of the Holy Week celebrations
- Sunday, May 1 – Labor Day is an official holiday in Mexico, but it will depend on the provisions of each agency if they travel on a Monday or Friday.
- Thursday, May 5 – Official holiday for the commemoration of the so-called Battle of Puebla, which occurred in 1862.
- Friday, September 16 – It is an official holiday for Mexico’s Independence Day, which began in the early morning of that day in 1810. Some agencies and entities also give on September 15.
- Wednesday, November 2 – Day of the Dead is celebrated, one of the best-known festivities in Mexico internationally. Sometimes it also occurs on November 1 (which is also part of the celebrations), but it depends on each department.
- Monday, November 21 – Official holiday for the commemoration of the Mexican Revolution, which began on November 20, 1910 with the promulgation of the Plan of San Luis.
