Mexico City, March 2. More than 200 national and international brands will present their business models to 12,000 investors at the International Franchise Fair (FIF) 2023, where 85% of them are Mexican, report this Thursday the Mexican Franchise Association (AMF) and Comexposium.

At the end of the first day of the 46th edition of the FIF, the executive director for Latin America of Comeexposium, organization of events and conventions all over the world, Jaime Salazar, underlined that it is about an opportunity for exhibitors, franchisors, potential investors, consultants and suppliers in the franchise sector to know the most outstanding investment options at national and international level.

He explained that the companies offer investment flexibility ranging from 150,000 pesos (about $8,277) to 10 million pesos ($551,809).

“The FIF is at the level of all the exhibitions held in the world. In addition, 85% of the franchises are already Mexican, they even go beyond our borders: in Central America, in the United States, in Europe”, underlined Salazar.

For his part, the president of the AMF, Mario Alberto Briceño, pointed out that the franchise model in Mexico is a safe and profitable option, since 8 out of 10 franchises survive after the fifth year of life.

“We have a big commitment to franchise brands, which is to explode the franchise industry to continue generating wealth. The FIF is the best example of the relationship between franchise brands and investors,” he said.

In Mexico, the franchise sector represents more than 5% of the gross domestic product (GDP) and generates more than one million jobs, through more than 95,000 points of sale.

This International Franchise Fair will see the participation of brands from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, the United States, Spain and France and will be held until next Saturday March 4 at the World Trade Center in the Mexican capital; although it also has a virtual modality.

This event will also offer specialized training through conference cycles that will address the business model in depth, as well as talks that will facilitate the expansion of franchises and their competitive advantages.

Likewise, Salazar recalled that this edition will have a license pavilion for 75 brands, which will be represented by 5 specialized companies. EFE
