Members of Congress ask Gustavo Petro to respect the distribution of powers: “It does not suit the president to gossip”

For his part, Senator Radical change, Carlos Fernando Motoa He went a step further and asked the president to respect the role of democratic powers and institutions.

“We must ask President Petro not to hide from Congress if his reforms are not approved, not to play with the people, with the citizens at the level of symbols and at the level of narratives. Let him speak less at the palace window and reign more. We are here to debate your proposals with respect, but with strength. I ask you to respect the balance of power and to respect the institutions or I ask you: have you got used to blockages to achieve your ends? The campaign is over, president,” Motoa said.
