Tenants of the San Juan market have denounced the upsurge in thefts (Wikipedia)

In the San Juan market, located within the limits of the town hall of Iztapalapa and the State of Mexico, a plastered man in a position completely naked and covering his face in the face of protests from different traders. According to information circulating on the networks, the tenants found themselves robbed of several premises, which is why they they stripped, tied up and beat on the spot.

The video was shared by journalist Carlos Jiménez on his official Twitter account, where the detained subject is observed in front of traders who laughed and recorded their surroundings. Afterwards, a gathered group is observed singing and cheering on a man who used what appears to be a plastic bag containing an object to hit the accused on different occasions.

So far, neither the police authorities of Mexico nor those corresponding to the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl have pronounced on the facts. However, these actions are not the first among tenants who have repeatedly denounced the lack of security in the San Juan market before the increase in organized crime.

And it is that this market was not the only point where the attackers were “lynched” by traders for lack of security. Likewise, the supply centera very short distance from the San Juan market, a similar event was recorded on December 8.

According to reports from various media, a man was brutally beaten near the supply center after different salespeople discovered him robbing a man in a cellar. The subject identified as Ewdin Morales was repeatedly beaten by the merchants who left him on the ground after a while.

Video of the beaten subject was also shared by journalist Carlos Jiménez, a video clip in which the bloodied man is seen with severe bruising moments later. And it is that according to the journalist, the sellers would have tied the alleged criminal by the hands and feet in front of elements of the Citizen Security Secretariat (CSC).

In these cases, the authorities of the capital would have taken the matter to the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJ), to then take the corresponding measures.

Lynching cases are an important issue for the authorities because the subject does not always come out alive in the face of the violent effervescence of the people allegedly affected.

In the south of the country, in the state of Chiapas, the death of a young man from 26 years by a group of natives of the Tzotzil community. According to local media reports, the man was burned alive in the public square of Santiago El Pinar after being accused of robbery.

The events were recorded on December 30, where, according to the prosecution, several residents accused the 26-year-old man of being part of a gang of car thieves. Faced with the facts, residents of the area called the police who arrived with expert testimony.

According to reports, authorities opened an investigation file for the murder charge because when they arrived at the scene, they found the subject charged with robbery without life. So far, Chiapas government authorities have not reported further on the case. However, this state has distinguished itself on other occasions for similar crimes due to the lack of security.
