March 14 (Reuters) –

* The number of people claiming unemployment benefits in the UK fell by 11,200 in February, according to data released by the Office for National Statistics on Tuesday.

* Previous month’s data has been revised down from -12,900 to -30,300.

* The unemployment rate remained at 3.7% in January, as in December.

* A Reuters poll of analysts expected the jobless rate to stand at 3.8% in January.

* The number of people in employment rose by 65,000 in January, against a forecast of 52,000 in the survey. (Report by Benjamin Mejías Valencia)
