Macri’s message after Larreta’s announcement: ‘I’m glad he applied, I deeply believe in competition’

The head of the government of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, confirmed in the last hours that he would run for the presidency in the next national elections and, shortly after, Mauricio Macri issued a statement in which he underlined: “I am happy that he applied, I deeply believe in competition”

Via his official Instagram account, the former president said, “I am happy and I support that Horacio has officially submitted his candidacy today. I deeply believe in competition.”

Then, he added: “I think that from the tension that the will to win produces, we always come out favored. This applies to the opportunity of an application, to athletic competition, to the struggle of products for market dominance, to the competition for innovation, or to the silent effort of a student to have the best grades and win a scholarship.
