Although many people choose to travel by bus or plane, thousands of families choose to travel by private car. Therefore, it is essential to know what the fuel prices are in different parts of Argentina. A good choice can save up to $1,800 for each tank filled.

A tour of the fuel values of the five most populated jurisdictions in the country (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Province of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Córdoba and Mendoza), allows us to have a fairly clear picture of how much can be saved if the fuel is loaded at the most economical location.

The oil company YPF has increased its fuels by an average of 4%

The adjustment was made within the framework of the fair price agreement, signed by the companies in the sector with the Ministry of Commerce

According to the prices published by the Nation’s Energy Secretary, which can also be found in the “Price at the pump” app, filling up can be up to 10% cheaper in some provinces than in others. To reach this conclusion, the values at the selling mouth of YPF, Shell, Axion and Dapsa given that these are the most present flags on the national fuel market.

There are also significant price differences between gas stations within the same flag.

According to official information, among the five jurisdictions studied, the cheapest is always CABA. In this region, there is the cheapest super gasoline ($163.40 per liter) and also the most accessible diesel ($175.1).

Shell has increased the price of its fuels by an average of 4%

From midnight on Wednesday, the new fuel values began to apply. Price update attempts to absorb biofuel increases to a minimum

Thus, for the inhabitants of Buenos Airesit is advisable to fill the car’s tank by Federal Capital, just before leaving on a trip. Doing it in the provinces is not a bad option either, but the prices are between 8% and 11.5% more expensive.

Prices are much higher in Cordoba and especially in Santa Fe. In the latter province, for example, the cheapest diesel costs $206.9 per liter (18% more than in Buenos Aires) and the most accessible super gasoline costs $189.40 (15.9% more expensive ).

In this context, for those who travel to the west of the country, it is advisable to “tend” the tank and recharge in Mendoza. It is that in the province of Cuyo the prices are lower and are a little closer to those found in CABA gas stations. In the city center, there is a liter of diesel at $193 and the super gasoline at $175.10.

The price differences are noticeable, but are seen more clearly when talking about “full tanks”.

Small cars like the Toyota Corolla, he Chevrolet Onix or a Ford FiestaThey usually have tanks of around 50 liters. For this reason, a family that leaves Buenos Aires and loads the tank to its maximum capacity will have to pay around $8,170 if using premium gasoline and $8,755 if using a diesel vehicle.

Residents of Santa Fe, meanwhile, have to spend between $9,470 (gasoline) and $10,345 (diesel) for each time they fill up. In other words, they pay between $1,300 and $1,590 more than citizens of Buenos Aires when they go to the gas station.

With some flags in particular, the price differences between Santa Fe (the most expensive province among those analyzed) and CABA (the cheapest), the differences for each full tank can exceed $1,800.

It should also be taken into account that the differences are even greater with the fuels of the premium version and are considerably higher in vehicles with larger fuel tanks. THE pick-ups, For example, they typically have 80 liter tanks, so differences of up to $2,500 per full tank can be saved in a single load.
