London, 24 Feb. The United Kingdom has imposed an export ban on every piece of military equipment that Russia has used on the battlefield in Ukraine, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly announced on Friday, marking the first anniversary of the Russian invasion of this country.

According to a statement released by the “Foreign Office”, it is an internationally coordinated sanctions package including aircraft parts, radio equipment and electronic components that can be used by the Russian military.

In addition, the UK has imposed sanctions on top executives of Russian nuclear energy company Rosatom.

Those sanctioned have their assets frozen and banned from entering the UK.

Rosatom has ties to Russia’s military-industrial complex, including through Alexander Novak, who is a member of the supervisory board and deputy prime minister in the Putin administration, according to the Foreign Ministry memo.

“The Ukrainians are turning the tide for Russia, but they cannot do it alone. That is why we must do more to help Ukraine win. Today we are sanctioning the elites who run the key industries of (Russian President Vladimir) Putin and we are committed to prohibiting the export to Russia of all items that Russia has used on the battlefield,” Cleverly told EFE
