After the meeting between the representatives of the Ministry of transportation and representatives of the taxi drivers’ union, the leaders of the union announced that they would go on strike on Wednesday 22 February.
The strike will begin in the main cities of the country: Cúcuta, Palmira, Montería, MedellinPereira, Manizales, CaliBucaramanga, Ibague, BogotáPasto, Villavicencio, Yumbo, Tunja, Sincelejo, Yopal, Neiva and Chocó.
The taxi drivers’ union said that there are four specific points for which this day of strike has been called: legality and informality in transport, fuel prices, the sanction regime, sanctions and interventions with transport authorities.
