On social networks, a video of a woman being arrested by police officers has gone viral. The Traffic Control Undersecretariat of the Secretary for Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City has refused to infringe upon her rights. In the recording, it can be seen that she allegedly called her father to contact Chief Anubis before internet users named her Lady Anubis.

The video, lasting 27 seconds, shows a conversation between a woman and a Mexico City Traffic Police officer. The woman takes out her phone, presumably to speak to her father and ask him to contact Chief Anubis to avoid being ticketed. She says, “Daddy, are you talking to Chief Anubis? Please tell him about the officer.” She then slaps the officer who was attempting to photograph the truck’s license plates.

The second officer, who was recording the incident, asks her to calm down since they are being recorded, but the woman also attacks him. Lady Anubis, as she is now known, mentions that they are falsely accusing her, and the clip is cut off at that point.

The comptroller of CDMX violated the law by attending the Super Bowl with his girlfriend. Álvarez Icaza has called for his resignation, stating that he had previously prohibited other officials from accepting expensive gifts.

After failing to avoid a fine, Lady Anubis contacted the SSC Directorate General of Home Affairs to report that the traffic officers had assaulted her. The traffic officer was handed over to the Public Minister based on Lady Anubis’s allegations but was released after presenting the recordings as evidence of what had transpired.

Internet users criticized the woman’s behavior and defended the traffic police officers, stating that they were simply doing their job. They also criticized Lady Anubis’s arrogance in physically assaulting them only to later report them for something they did not do. As a joke, some users requested the identity of Chief Anubis, suggesting possible influence peddling.

In a separate incident, a man died in a gymnasium in Coyoacán, and the employees allegedly tried to hide the body. The man’s relatives forced their way into the scene after noticing that his truck was still in the parking lot.

Some users pointed out that Lady Anubis pretended to talk to someone on the phone, as she started speaking immediately after dialing, without dropping the call. Chief Anubis is the CDMX West Zone Regional Director.

After the videos went viral, the SSC clarified on its Twitter account that the traffic officers had performed their duty despite facing opposition, resulting in Lady Anubis receiving a violation. The agency stated, “Good morning, regarding these events, we report that the #SSC Transit Control Undersecretary staff has issued the corresponding violation,” although the reason for the violation is unknown.

Considering the incident, users requested that Lady Anubis not only receive a fine but also be arrested for assaulting the officer and defamation. Some comments from users included: “And who is Chief Anubis? We want to meet him, hahaha,” “Daddy’s girl! If they do this for a minor offense, what won’t they do in the dark?” and “Did Chief Anubis himself arrive, or was it directly Omar García Harfuch?”

In 2020, a woman also defamed a man who documented her leaving her children at an Oxxo store. However, at that time, the accused person had not been arrested as part of the transit accusations made by Lady Anubis.
