Juventus beat Nantes and qualified for the round of 16

In the 2022-2023 Europa League Qualifiers 2, Juventus beat Nantes without a hitch. The away goals were scored by Ángel Di María, who converted a Hat-Trick (4′ 1T, 19′ 1T, from the penalty spot and 32′ 2T).

A great game from Juventus, after 4 minutes in the first half, was the one that moved the score through Ángel Di María. An assist from Nicolò Fagioli left the ball open for the striker to shoot from outside the box to the right corner. Spectacular definition!

Massimiliano Allegri’s side created danger with a 47th-minute shot from Filip Kostic of the first leg, which ended up hitting one of the posts.

The best man of the match was Ángel Di María. The Juventus striker scored 3 goals and shot 7 times in the opposite goal.

Nicolò Fagioli was another of the key players. The Juventus midfielder looked for the opposite goal twice.

The game was notable for a lot of friction and constant fouls that cut the game short. There were 3 reprimands: Charles Traoré, Juan Cuadrado and Alban Lafont. Nicolas Pallois was sent off for a direct red card in the 16th minute of the first half.

Nantes coach Antoine Kombouaré proposed a 5-4-1 formation with Alban Lafont in goal; Fabien Centonze, Andrei Girotto, Nicolas Pallois, Jean-Charles Castelletto and Moses Simon on the defensive line; Moussa Sissoko, Florent Mollet, Pedro Chirivella and Ludovic Blas in the middle; and Andy Delort in attack.

For their part, Massimiliano Allegri’s side entered the field with a 4-4-2 pattern with Wojciech Szczesny under the three sticks; Mattia De Sciglio, Danilo, Bremer and Alex Sandro in defence; Nicolò Fagioli, Adrien Rabiot, Manuel Locatelli and Filip Kostic in midfield; and Ángel Di María and Moise Kean in front.

José Sánchez Martínez was the referee who officiated the match at the Stade de la Beaujoire.

Juventus eliminated Nantes in Europa League PlayOff 2 2022-2023 and qualified for the Round of 16.
