Sports Writing (United States), March 28. Nikola Jokic became the sixth player in NBA history to reach 100 triple-doubles on Tuesday.

The Serbian genius added his number 100 triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in the Denver Nuggets’ comfortable victory over the Houston Rockets (112-133).

Denver was already leading by 26 points in the third quarter, so Jokic was able to rest and didn’t have to enter the field in the fourth quarter.

The MVP of the past two seasons – and a strong candidate to revalidate recognition this year – has 24 triple-doubles this season with a clear positive impact on his team as the Nuggets have won each of those 24 games.

The all-time NBA triple-double leader is Russell Westbrook (198) ahead of Oscar Robertson (181), ‘Magic’ Johnson (138), Jason Kidd (107), LeBron James (106) and Nikola Jokic (100) .

The Nuggets, who posted a resounding 57.6% shooting from the field, remain ahead of the West (44-19) and have won 7 of their last 10 games.

Quite different is the situation of the Rockets (13-48), the last clubs in the same conference with the worst record in the league and which have accumulated 10 consecutive defeats.

Tari Eason and Jalen Green (17 points per head) led Houston, which suffered with a poor 9 of 31 from 3 points.

The Spaniard Usman Garuba contributed 3 points, 7 rebounds and an assist in 14 minutes with the Rockets and achieved the best +/- differential of his team (+13). EFE
