Japanese PM makes surprise trip to Ukraine to meet with Zelensky

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, goes to Ukraine to meet this Tuesday his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodimir Zelensky, as reported by the Japanese state broadcaster NHK.

The Japanese President, who was on an official trip to Indiahas thus delayed his return to Japan scheduled for Tuesday and has undertaken this surprise visit to Ukraine.

After flying to Europe from India, Kishida boarded a train from Poland bound for Ukraine at 09:30 Japanese time (0030 GMT), according to the same source.
