Independent is in crisis and this is nothing new. He Redfar from its heyday, is going through a delicate financial period and the leadership it assumed in 2022 under the command of Fabien Doman taken on the responsibility of dealing with a large debt that reached $23.5 million.

Already in November, the board had revealed alarming figures which included late payments of 15 million pesos to a Chinese supermarket and even debts for sandwiches due to the issue of checks until June 2023 for a figure close to 230 million pesos. To this panorama have been added new discoveries that have been released in the last hours through an impressive list that includes players, clubs and representatives.

The most recent is a debt to the Ecuadorian Juan Cazares, the former River Plate and Banfield footballer who landed in Avellaneda in 2022 from Ukrainian Metalist, after the outbreak of the conflict with Russia. At first, Hugo Moyano’s management had informed that it was a transaction practically at no cost to the institution, but now it seems that the transfer closed at around 1.3 million dollars and that this amount was never paid.

50 million pesos are also due to Miguel Angel Brindisi, whose last technician cycle ended in 2013 under the direction of Javier Cantero and several thousand dollars to players who are no longer part of the institution, such as Gaston Silva (USD 1.3 million) o Gonzalo Veron (USD 4.8 million) who has only played 18 games with the jersey of Red and their situation will be determined in the courts.

At the same time, delays in payment appear, for example, to the father of patrick Victim Rodriguez for more than 10 million pesos, despite the fact that the footballer left Independiente in 2012. And to various clubs such as America of Mexico, Tijuana, Boca Juniors, Elche, Aldosivi, Pescara and Talleresamong others.
