He pointed out that “this technology is today unique in Latin America, this system is only used by three police officers in the United States, as well as the Israeli police. With this investment and with the development of this training center, we are consolidating ourselves not only on the way to being the best police force in the country, but also as the best police training institution,” he concluded.

For her part, the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, specified that the CESR “does not represent an excessive investment and at the same time allows the Mexico City police to be the best police in the country and to have the best training.

This virtual reality center only exists in Mexico City, of all Latin American countries, and the goal is to have more and more trained police where they train respecting human rightsnational laws themselves and the rational use of force to avoid violence with safe operations.

Likewise, a demonstration was carried out to illustrate the explanation of Eduardo Clark García Dobarganes, Director General of Digital Government of ADIP. They showed different simulated scenarios in Mexico City, the first representing a research situation in the Tepito neighborhood with a person deprived of liberty; the second, an event in Alameda Central, in the Hemiciclo a Juárez and the Palacio de Bellas Artes, in a situation of suspicious people hiding a bag among the planters. And the third, an armed robbery in a convenience store.

How is the virtual reality training center?

It is a one hundred percent reality experience simulator, in which sophisticated devices, sensors and controls are used to perform physical, visual, auditory and emotional interactions that enable physical and psychological training in various crisis situations.
