After the veto presented by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) to the Commissioners of the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (Henna), the organism file a constitutional controversy.
This was proposed in an extraordinary session of the INAI plenary due to the lack of appointment of commissioners from April 2022.
During the vote, the five commissioners voted in favor of presenting the measure before the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), since the absence of appointments can generate violations to the functioning of the INAI, as they have explained.
