Women activists of the National Action Party (PAN) they went to iron Mexico City Zocalo leave ahead national palace a symbol that represents women and crosses, “in memory of the thousands of women who are raped, disappeared or murdered in this country”.

Laura Esquivel, Secretary for the Political Promotion of Women, regretted that every day 11 women are murdered on average and underlined that since the President Andrés Manuel López Obrador came to power, 17 thousand 138 women were murdered “And absolutely nothing happens.”

“The president has been in hiding for four years, he doesn’t want to see us, he doesn’t see us, but he listens to us and he heard us screaming over and over again years ago that a rapist wouldn’t be governor and no , he is not a governor but he is a senator from Morena”, condemned the secretary, referring to Félix Salgado Macedonian.

One day after the celebration of International Women’s Daythe PAN member regretted that López Obrador was walling up National Palace, “because he’s afraid of women, but it’s good for him, he says, because it will be the women who will remove him from government”.

According to Esquivel Torres, in the current administration there are policies that represent setbacks against the female gender, such as the withdrawal of children’s rooms and the disappearance of shelters for raped women.

Members of the PAN said that the entities of the Republic where the greatest number of women disappear are governed by Morena: Mexico City, Zacatecas, Veracruz and Morelos.

Besides, Laura Esquivel wonders about media “lynchings” to which many legislators are confronted by López Obrador and repudiated as the President of the Republic “violent and attacks” the President of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, Norma Lucía Piña Hernándezso as not to bow to the federal government.

“I want to take advantage of this space to express to President Norma Piña all our solidarity and tell her that she is not alone,” said the head of PAN, since last week the President of the Supreme Court was the target of death threats after the criticism expressed by the National Palace against her.

For her part, Cecilia Patrón Laviada, Secretary General of PAN, lamented that currently 70% of women in our country have suffered some type of aggression throughout their lives and those in power want to minimize this data.

“We will continue to work, to present actions and to always propose, they will not break us or silence us, we are here and we will continue here and the women of all Mexico in all corners have this voice, do -tell us your feelings, what do you want, where they want us to defend them, we will be there, we are their voice and they can count on us, ”said Cecilia Patrón.

Finally, Senator Kenia López Rabadán regretted that women were demonstrating in front of the National Palace and inside the government, which she described as “macho”.

“Today we have come to tell the President of the Republic face to face, while he is spending millions of pesos his mornings, trying to crush the other powers, today we women are coming here, because we we are the women who are going to get Morena now,” said López Rabadán.

under the International Women’s Daycurrently known as 8M, the Belisario Domínguez Institute of the Senate of the Republic revealed in a report that in the case of femicides of women from 0 to 17 years old, these occur by violent deaths.

Based on data from Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP), the report, which includes figures from 2015 to 2022, indicates that 15.2% of femicide they occurred with a knife and 13.6% were caused by a firearm.

Considering only the femicide of girls and teensthe report points out that the most violent years for them it was the years 2020 and 2021, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and where there was a breakthrough.
