– Middle sector “middle class”: households whose total monthly income is at least equal to 1.25 times the TC and does not reach four times the TC of the Market Basket System. They earn between $269,055.56 and $860,977.79 per month.

– Affluent sector: households whose monthly income is four or more times the CT of the market basket system. They have an income of $860,977.80 or more per month.

“This stratification offers, on the one hand, the possibility of identifying the most vulnerable sectors of society in terms of situations of indigence and poverty and, on the other hand, it accounts for the heterogeneity of the sectors not poor in order to facilitate a more complete analysis of the social situation of the city of Buenos Aires, that of each of the defined strata and its evolution over time”, explains the report.
