He National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (Senamhi) announced that from February 21 to 23, there will be precipitation such as snow, hail, sleet and heavy to extreme rain in the mountain and north coast region. In all 107 provinces they are on alert.

For his part, he National Institute for Civil Protection (Indeci) recommended that residents of alert areas take steps to prepare for possible precipitation.

According to the Senamhi weather warning map, rainfall on the north coast and mountains remains at Red alert.

Regarding the winds, these will reach a speed of up to 35 km/h. In areas above 2800 meters above sea level, people will witness hail and in places above 4000 meters above sea level there will be snow.

In case of heavy to extreme rains, this event will be present in Piura and Tumbes, while on the central and northern coast, the intensity will be less. These are the places where the red alert was issued.
