Daytime temperatures will have a predominance of ascents in the southern half of the peninsula, and decreases in the north

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has announced locally heavy rains for this Wednesday in western Andalusia and in the more prominent Canary Islands.

Due to the action of an Atlantic front, cloudy or overcast skies are expected on the peninsular Atlantic slope, with occasional rains and showers in general, which will occur during the second half of the day and may be locally strong and stormy in areas of the southwest of Extremadura and western Andalusia at the end.
Cloudy sky or with intervals of medium and high clouds in the rest of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, without ruling out weak and scattered precipitation, very unlikely in much of the eastern third; in the Canary Islands, cloudy or covered, with rainfall that will affect the entire archipelago, locally strong and with storms on the islands of greater relief.

The snow level on the peninsula will be around 2,000 meters; and locally persistent fog in the depressions of Huesca and Lleida.
Daytime temperatures will have a predominance of ascents in the southern half of the peninsula, and decreases in the north; the minimums, with slight decreases in general, with frosts in the Pyrenean area and south of the Iberian system.
Winds from the east and southeast on the Atlantic and Cantabrian slopes, with some strong intervals on the north coast of Galicia and the Gulf of Cádiz in the last hours; from the southwest in the Canary Islands, with strong intervals.
