MIAMI (AP) — Bam Adebayo scored 26 points, Tyler Herro had 24, and the Miami Heat earned a rare comfortable victory, beating the Memphis Grizzlies 138-119 on Wednesday night.
Jimmy Butler had 23 points, Max Strus had 12, Caleb Martin finished with 11, plus Kevin Love and Gabe Vincent each had 10 points for the Heat.
Miami set a season high for points and it was only the sixth time in 38 wins the Heat had won by more than 10. Prior to Wednesday, their last double-digit victory came on Jan. 18 at New York.Orleans, in a 124 -98 eruption.
Jaren Jackson Jr. had 25 points for Memphis, which received 14 points from Luke Kennard, 12 from Ziaire Williams and 11 from Desmond Bane and Tyus Jones.
The Heat (38-33) came two games out of a tie against Brooklyn (37-30) for sixth place and last in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
It was the sixth game Memphis was without Ja Morant, who received an eight-game suspension from the NBA.
