DALLAS (AP) — Tyrese Haliburton had 32 points and beat Luka Doncic, another player who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, as the Indiana Pacers beat the Dallas Mavericks 124-122.

Doncic had 39 points and nine rebounds on the day he celebrated his 24th birthday. However, he fell to 1-4 in games with Kyrie Irving as the latter arrived in a trade with Brooklyn before the deadline.

Irving scored 16 points, but his 3-point attempt just before the buzzer was the last of five misses in the 1:20 finale, with Dallas trailing by two.

Haliburton, 23, born Feb. 29, 2000, was 9-for-18 from the field and 12-for-15 on free throws. He added seven rebounds and six assists.

Myles Turner had 24 points, including several big shots in the fourth quarter, against his hometown team. He also contributed four blocks, including one to Doncic and one to Irving in the second half.
