In support of his policy of total peace, President Gustavo Petro announced on the afternoon of March 13, 2023 that after the Attorney General’s office suspended the arrest warrants against 19 FARC dissidents, the rapprochement between the government and dissidents of the extinct guerrillas will begin.

According to President Gustavo Petro, the dialogues with the combatants will take place through a table between the national government and the central staff headed by alias Ivan Mordisco.

“A second peace process is beginning. A table will be established between the government and the central staff”, was the message with which the president announced the start of the talks.

The opportunity to establish a table of dialogue with the central staff of the dissidents comes after President Petro answered the doubts of the attorney general of the nation, Francisco Barbosa. about 11 of the 20 names requested by the national government as representatives of FARC.
