Governor Quintela has added a public holiday to La Rioja and the Carnival weekend will have six days

The Governor of La Rioja, Ricardo Quintelaannounced on Wednesday the decision to add two more holidays At week-end extra wide carnival for public employees in the province. As he explained, the measure was taken in order to “allow the development of domestic tourism” and “to welcome visitors”.

In this way, the suspension of the activities of the public administration of La Rioja will be in force from this Thursday, February 16 until next Tuesday, February 21.

Through his Twitter account, Quintela pointed out that today’s party was declared within the framework of the provincial holiday held in commemoration of the assassination of the caudillo Juan Facundo Quiroga, which was decreed within the framework of the Ley 10.351 sanctioned by the Chamber of Deputies of the province.

Quintela’s decision sparked mixed reactions on social media.
