Girl in a delicate state of health after ingesting glass in a school in Bogotá. Mercy Hospital, Bogotá.

On the other hand, the father of the girl affected by the school lunch called on the authorities to be more aware of the food children receive in schools and its content. He stressed that “we want to ask the Secretary of Education to tighten controls on anything that has to do with PAE foods.”

Moreover, he assured that it is not the first case that is presented health problems with the consumption of snacks, but in 2022 it has witnessed several events related to the consumption of milk drinks which caused gastrointestinal problems in children, which is why, according to him, he prohibited the girl from continuing to consume them.
