Justice has a conviction which, at this stage, seems unshakable: Natacha Jaitt died of a cocaine overdose, an accidental death, not murder. That doesn’t seem like a fanciful conclusion if the record is looked at. Several pieces of evidence led the three prosecutors who investigated the incident to think this way. The most important is the medical advice in which they participated 18 specialists and where the autopsy was carefully analyzed. All physicians agreed that Natacha’s damaged body could not stand the drugs he ingested, without anyone prompting him, in the early morning of On February 23, 2019, exactly four years ago.
GlobeLiveMedia He accessed the full file of a case that has no defendants and in which prosecutors have exhausted all measures and no crime has been found.
Afterwards, why isn’t it closing yet?
First the facts. This night, Jaitt assisted with a friend, the producer Raul de Jesus Velaztiqui Duarte, at the event hall Xanadulocated within the party of Tiger. The living room belonged to the businessman Guillermo Gonzalo Rigoniwho was present that evening with two of his friends, the businessman Gaspar Esteban Fonolla and the electrician Gustavo Andres “Voltio” Bartolin. A young local woman named Luna.
In subsequent testimony, almost all agreed that it was a business meeting and that they had drunk alcohol until the wee hours of the next day. Several pointed out that in addition, the cocaine was consumed.
According to the file, at 1:49 a.m. on February 23 A call came to 911 from the event complex advising that inside there was a “disappeared” person. They specified that it was on the bed in one of the bedrooms. When the troops arrived at the scene, they found Natacha naked and, by that time, already lifeless.
To find the cause, a team made up of the Deputy Prosecutor Cosme Iribarren and Dr Diego Callegari and Sebastian Fitipaldi. Quickly, testimonies were collected from those present and the hijacking of security cameras. These two points were crucial for the subsequent development of the file.
Security cameras showed various footage such as the arrival of the model at the placeaccompanied by Velaztiqui, what happened inside and the moments of despair once those present found Natacha dead.
In addition, they recorded another fundamental sequence. One of the cameras was pointed directly at the large window in the room in which Natasha I had gone up to rest. As this night was stormy, and as there were permanent lightnings which fleetingly illuminated the place, what was happening inside this environment was reflected. Out of respect for the memory of the model, the content of this recording will not be recounted in this note, but for researchers it is a very important proof.
These images were also used to detain a person. Raúl Velaztiqui, the victim’s friend, lied in his witness statement that night. The man had said, under oath, that Natacha’s mobile phone was in the car in which the two arrived at the scene. However, in the camera footage, it was clearly seen that took the phone from the bedside table in the room where Jaitt died and hid it in the vehicle after his death.
The detention only lasted a few days. Investigators believe the lie was simply related to clumsiness. For this fact, velaztiqui signed a summary judgment, although then he was acquitted by a higher court due to invalidity in his initial testimony.
The investigation into the incident was extremely thorough. Statements were taken from dozens of people, traces were taken and all the security cameras were analyzed. But, basically, the autopsy was performed and later analyzed by a medical commission in which 18 doctors.
On pages 536/540 of the file “IPP 14-08-00378-19/00” you can read this sentence: “It is plausible to conclude that Jaitt Natacha’s death was the product of a general asphyxiation syndrome due to acute pulmonary edema resulting from recent cocaine use.”
In addition, the doctors add: “Natacha Jaitt presented cocaine and/or its metabolites in the nostrils, urine, blood, gastric contents and pelvis of viscera, making it the resultIt is highly unlikely that the drug in question was administered to the victim during a period of unconsciousness. alive or not, since a part was in the fold of the nasal turbinates and nasal choanae, which indicates that it was inhaled or sniffed by the victim himself.
The study is signed by the Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine of the Police of the Province of Buenos AiresDr. Carlos Mauricio Casinelli, and the heads of the medical staff of the jurisdictions of San Isidro, San Martin, Campana and La Plata.
This document leaves researchers in no doubt. No trace of criminality was found in the death of Natacha Jaitt. Likewise, the investigation continued and continues.
During these four years, investigators investigated everything that could be linked to the death. For example, they askedHow did the drugs get to this place? Who provided it? They found answers and took action.
On April 5 of this 2019 he was arrested Guillermo Francisco Ruiz, alias “Pupi”, 37 years old. He was in charge of selling the drugs that Natacha took that night. A few months later, the inmate signed an abridged trial of 4 years and six months and still stay stopped for the crime of sale of drugs.
In addition, another cause was formed where it was sought if in Xanadu prostitution was facilitated. This case was filed for non-existence of crime.
One of the demands of the individual victim, led by Ulises, Natacha’s brother, had to do with the opening of two electronic devices that the model had on her that night. The first thing we had access to was the cell phone. “The device was opened and nothing relevant was found”, explains a researcher. Second, progress has been made on a iPad. Here, things got a little more complicated.
How the family did not provide the key to open the device and Apple does not provide this information, no matter how much justice demands it.prosecutors asked the Department of criminalistic and forensic studies of the national gendarmerie that through the software called “UFED PREMIUM” try to unlock it. At the moment, it seems almost impossible.
In a document sent to the prosecution, August 19 last yearthe specialists sent an update of the work: “To date, the IPAD type electronic equipment model “A1670”, records a total of TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR (21,334) hours of treatment, at count NINETY SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY FIVE (96565) unlock attempts, without having obtained positive results. At 99,000 attempts, the expertise will end regardless of the result.
For this reason, the next March 7tax Cosimo Iribarren He summoned the chief of the Gendarmerie experts to a testimonial statement to explain what the situation is and whether it is worth continuing to try. If the answer is negative, a decision will be made. Most likely, the final case file.
