An exhibition dedicated to Mexican women over 60 seeks to generate actions that allow them to achieve environments free of gender violence and make visible that violence against women does not disappear during their old age period .

“Visible women, women in resistance” is a photographic exhibition which arrives this Friday, March 3 at Memory and Tolerance Museum in Mexico City, with the aim of making visible gender-based violence does not disappear during their adulthood phase.

Suitable for all audiences, but especially for women over 60the sample seeks to generate actions that create violence-free environments.

The exhibition, organized by Marisol Cid and Matthew Phippsis inaugurated as part of the commemoration of the International Women’s Day and will be available until April 15 in free access.

The National Survey on the Dynamics of Family Relations (ENDIREH) 2021, carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) and published in August 2022, indicates that 19.2% of women over 65 They were psychologically, physically, sexually and economically violated.
