Diversity was present at the 95th Academy Awards, where films from different genres were awarded. On the Dolby Theater stage, low-budget films were rewarded, as well as independent works and blockbusters were able to share

The big favorite of the evening was Everything everywhere at the same timewhich is available on Prime Video and which won seven statuettes in the actress, supporting actor, supporting actress, original screenplay, editing, director and film categories. Very Close Was the Netflix Movie No news to come which went home with four awards, including Best Cinematography, International Film, Soundtrack and Production Design.

As expected, Brendan Fraser became this year’s Best Actor for his work in the film. The whale, a production that was also awarded the statuette for best make-up and hairstyle. The actor in his speech compared his return to Hollywood to walking a whale, noting that despite struggling over the years, he is now swimming on the surface.

Latin America was not left with nothing after losing in the international film category, as Guillermo del Toro took to the stage to garner his animated film recognition for his work on Pinocchio.
