Palermo Division is an inclusive urban guard designed as a marketing operation to improve the image of the security forces. As everyone tries to figure out what role he’s filling, this guard accidentally comes face to face with a strange gang of criminals.

Santiago Korovsky created this story which just arrived on Netflix. Not only is he the screenwriter, but he is also the director and central actor of Department of Palermo, an original and fun story that is available on the platform from February 17.

This comedy begins with Felipe (Korovsky) meeting his girlfriend trying to buy a mattress to use when they live together. But the girl asks him for a moment and the couple separates. Thus, the young man decides to quit his job in his father’s company and chooses to join the city’s urban guard, once he shows up at the police station to file a complaint.

With the idea of ​​generating a better image of the security forces, a division called inclusive is created which includes, for example, Sofía (Pilar Gamboa), a girl who uses a wheelchair and is fed up with being told that she is a “be of light”.

And so, almost unwittingly, Felipe joins the forces and his life changes forever. There, in addition to Sofía, he will meet Miguel (Daniel Hendler), the head of the Palermo division, who was previously a psychologist at the police station. As optimistic as he is naive, he is a fan of homeopathy but also of psychotropic drugs. Although he knows that as a force they serve no useful function, he tries to hide it and convince himself otherwise.

He is accompanied by Johnny (Hernán Cuevas), a small young man fond of weapons, eager to have a little action in his life, Mario (Renato Condori Sangalli), a Bolivian boy who arrives in Argentina desperate to be able to stand up. -up. , Bernardo (Julio Marticorena) an elderly person who does not accept that he is deaf, Edgardo (Facundo Bogarin) a blind person who is only on his guard for money and Vivianne (Valeria Licciardi) a trans girl who is the daughter of a commissioner. His passion is writing and that’s why he joins the city guard with the aim of collecting information that will help him in his next detective novels.

All are assisted by a couple of Metropolitan Police officers, Esteban (Martín Garabal) and Paloma (Charo López), who, although they think they are funny, are insecure and resentful because of resources and space have been taken away from them at the police station and they do not miss an opportunity to point it out to guard against its overwhelming uselessness. But as each tries to figure out what role they play within this division, they all come face to face with a strange criminal gang.

The series is original in its approach and has 8 episodes and each one lasts about 25 minutes. Marcelo Subiotto, Sergio Prina, Agustín Rittano, Nilda Sindaco, Carlos Belloso, Iair Said, Alan Sabbagh, Camila Peralta, Gabriela Izcovich, Daniela Korovsky, Alicia Labraga, Fabián Arenillas and Valeria Lois also join the cast.
