According to judicial sources, six people were arrested, including one retired policemanin the city of Cordoba axis cross.
The prosecutor in charge of the fight against drug trafficking, Paulina Lingua, explained that searches were carried out in houses in the city of Cordoba and in the region’s prison unit. The gang of three men and three women took advantage of the fact that prison entry controls are not rigorous for pregnant women since they are not examined by laser scanners, with the idea of not putting in danger to the health of the unborn baby. .
Preliminary survey data indicates that the detainees had numerous criminal records, such as theft, fraud, coercion, sale of drugs, robbery and rape, among others. According to Lingua, in statements on LV3 radio, the crime was planned since they were looking for pregnant women to be able to enter the prison. The gang took advantage of this to have the women give themselves to an inmate for marketing purposes within the same prison unit.
