On Tuesday, March 2, the Colombian influencer Mauricio Gómez, better known as ‘La Liendra’, starred in an extreme video in which he is seen driving a luxurious vehicle at full speed on the roads of Antioquia.
Through his Instagram account, ‘La Liendra’ had no qualms about showing his followers how to fully accelerate a Porsche 718 Boxster car.
At a speed of 200 km / h the influencer boasted of his maneuvering behind the wheel and was recorded from a bridge waving and doing a popular chop on a section of the road between Guarne and Rionegro, in eastern Antioquia..
Here are the images of the influencer on the roads near Medellín:
In another Instagram post, the influencer clarified that the vehicle is not his property, but he boasted and highlighted it was a day when it was less ugly, after being photographed in the Porsche:
Although many of his followers on Instagram congratulated him for the risk taken and having ridden the luxurious vehicle, a sector of the population rejected Gómez’s maneuver, arguing that For this type of conduct the authorities should impose a fine and, if they do, suspend their driving license.
One of the critics of Germán Vélez was the manager of Devimed, a concession in charge of the maintenance and administration of the Medellín – Bogotá highway.
Vélez not only questioned it, but requested that the influencer’s driver’s license be suspended and in addition, a traffic fine is imposed.
This said the manager before the public opinion:
The Airport – Hippodrome road is of very good specifications, it has a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour, but the fact that it is well designed, that it is straight, that it is wide, does not mean that people can abuse speed
Vélez even emphasized that the section where ‘La Liendra’ was recorded driving at 200 kilometers per hour is “the Guarne-Llanogrande road, which is part of a school zone where the speed limits established by law for road actors are 30 km / h, in addition to the fact that there are work signs in the area, not counting the other vehicles that travel on that road.
In a statement, the concession deeply criticized what happened and invited the influencers and the Antioquia authorities to reflect:
From Devimed we invite influencers to affect their followers positively, and not with events that endanger their own lives and that of others. What was done by this ‘influencer’ was a great danger for the inhabitants and passers-by of the area. It is also valid to reflect on whether it is necessary to install photomults on various roads in the East.
After knowing the position of the manager of Devimed, ‘La Liendra’ has not commented on the matter, nor have the Antioquen traffic authorities. The influencer, who at the beginning of 2021 confessed that he has a monthly salary of 5 million pesos, could receive an exemplary sanction in case of being caught again on cameras driving at very high speeds.
