On the eighth date of the Chile – Betsson Championship 2023 tournament, Coquimbo U. added three at home by beating Cobresal on Monday. The goals of the match for the locals were scored by Rubén Farfán (22′ 1T) and Luciano Cabral (10′ 2T). While the visitor’s goal was scored by Cecilio Waterman (26′ 2T, from the penalty spot).

Luciano Cabral was the party figure. The Coquimbo Unido midfielder scored 1 goal, had 63 correct passes, struck back 6 and completed the goal 3 times.

Rodrigo Holgado was also important. The Coquimbo Unido striker finished the opposite goal 5 times and made 5 correct passes.

For their part, those led by Gustavo Huerta stopped with a 4-5-1 pattern with Leandro Requena under the three sticks; Pablo Cárdenas, Sebastián Silva, Francisco Alarcón and Yerco Oyanedel in defence; Gastón Lezcano, Luis Vásquez, Alejandro Camargo, Nelson Sepúlveda and César Munder in midfield; and Julio Castro in the lead.

The judge selected for the match at Coloso del Llano was Nicolás Millas.

Coquimbo U. will host O’Higgins the following day. Likewise, Cobresal will play at home against Colo Colo.

After the match, the home team find themselves with 13 points and in fourth place in the standings. While the visit has 11 units and ranks sixth in the tournament.
