Midfielder Chrystian Barletta scored twice this Wednesday in São Bernardo’s 5-1 crushing victory over Guarani-SP on Brazil – Campeonato Paulista 2023 Matchday 9. The home side’s goal of the match was scored by Jenison (43′ 1T ). While the away goals were scored by Chrystian Barletta (6′ 1T and 24′ 2T), Matheus Régis (10′ 1T), Rodrigo Souza (27′ 1T) and Henrique Lordelo (45′ 1T).

The highlight of the game was Jenison’s goal in the 43rd minute of the first half. The striker continues with an effective shot in the opposing goal which enters in the corner, after a pass from Giovanni Augusto.

With many fouls, it was an intense game with many interruptions on the pitch. There were 3 warnings: Jamerson Bahia, Rodrigo Souza and Fernando Neto. Jamerson Bahia was sent off for a double yellow card (2′, 2T) and Luciano Castán for a direct red card (37′, 2T).

Guarani-SP coach Mozart Batista Santos Júnior lined up a 4-5-1 formation with Tony Batista in the arch; Diogo Mateus, Lucão, Luciano Castan and Jamerson Bahia on the defensive line; Matheus Barbosa, Wenderson, Giovanni Augusto, Isaac and Bruno Jose in the middle; and Jenison on offense.

For their part, those led by Márcio Zanardi crashed with a 5-3-2 strategy with Alex Alves under the three sticks; Alex Reinaldo, Hélder Maciel, Matheus Salustiano, Arthur and Rafael Vaz in defense; Rodrigo Souza, Henrique Lordelo and Chrystian Barletta in midfield; and Matheus Régis and João Carlos in front.

The match at the Estádio Brinco de Ouro da Princesa was led by referee Guilherme Nunes de Santana.

For next week, Guarani-SP will visit Ferroviária. On the other hand, São Bernardo will receive Botafogo-SP.
