She has told her story many times before, and always aims to inspire other women to move forward despite adversity and depression. Her biggest fear was becoming a single mother, but that’s exactly what happened. In the Dominican Republic, she even contemplated taking her own life and that of her son. However, she found the courage to seek support on social media.

Smooth Eduardo Cletobetter, also known as Chiky Bom Bom, gained popularity through the social media platform ICT Tac. During the pandemic, she began sharing videos of herself exercising and sharing her daily life. Although she had been creating content on social media since 2015, it was her popular greeting, “Buenaaaas, Buenaaaaas,” that made her famous, with many artists, including singers Karl G. and Greeicy Rendon, replicating the video.

Today, Chiky Bom Bom lives in New York and is not only a social media influencer but also a businesswoman with clothing stores. She has also appeared on American reality TV show “Look Who’s Dancing” and will be featured on ‘Top Chef Vip’ through Telemundo International.

Chiky Bom Bom recently spoke with GlobeLiveMedia and shared details about her experience on the food reality show. She also left an empowering message for all her fans in Peru.

Chiky BomBom, now we’re going to see you in ‘Top Chef Vip’, what are you looking for to be part of this project?

Listen, I feel extremely lucky to be part of this great challenge which will premiere on March 13th on Telemundo Internacional. This show is going to give me the opportunity to show my other side, that’s my goal, because I’m not going to go there, I’m going to go there with a mounted and armed strategy. It interests me greatly that the public, my cybernetic family, sees another facet of To install Chiky Bom Bom. Because there is a lot to offer and this show gives me the opportunity to do so.

We know a powerful Chiky BomBom, but behind there is a very hard story…

I’ll summarize it for you because it’s extremely long, I’ve been on social media for 10 years and I work with different types of channels and I have different types of opportunities, high, low and everything because that’s part of the life. I started to be specific in Facebook, plan my death and the death of my son, as tragic as it may seem, my love. Sometimes we go through difficult situations, you feel the world is ending for you and it’s a lie, everything comes because something bigger, and a bigger blessing, will come into your life, which is exactly what happened to me. Life, God, rewarded me with many wonderful things, I managed to get out of the depression I was in, I managed to learn how to fight without strength and I managed to find out what was my purpose in life and my purpose is to help, to motivate, to uplift those who have fallen, to teach another perspective on life to people and that is exactly what I focus on.

Do you feel like you’re getting there?

If with ‘Top Chef Vip’ I will have the opportunity to be direct with the public, do you understand me? Let them understand and know that whatever you have in mind can be achieved, that you can’t get stuck doing something, that you can do a lot of things. I started in the networks, I made songs, I sang, I danced, I played, now I’m going to cook because we’re all crazy.

In this program you interact with Marlene Favela, Mauricio Islas, Carmen Villalobos, among others. Years ago, did you imagine this would happen?

When in my life was I going to imagine that I was going to work with these stars? I respect them, value them and am a fan of each one of them. I worked with some of them before and we will do it again, we are already friends, I feel very, very, very good. I have a lot to learn from each of them.

What would this girl say, this teenager who was afraid of the woman that I am?

I would tell her never to change, to continue to be her, that she is spectacular, that she is beautiful, to believe in herself a lot, because it is very important, and to learn to fight without force, because in life they will put many obstacles, which you have to overcome with 100, because that’s life. A life without obstacles and without process is like a garden without flowers, I would never paint this world of toys that people paint, that everything is rich and everything is bad, because that’s not how life must have obstacles, it has to have ups, there have to be downs. There must be processes, because through processes one grows, it’s like a diamond, so that they understand me.

And what about women who are still afraid to take on motherhood alone?

That I understand them, because I assume it, my love. It’s extremely difficult, being a single mom for me was the greatest thing that ever happened to me in the world and I’ll tell you why. My mum says to me, you are neither the last nor the first, I think totally different from everyone else, I was born to be a mum, not to be mum and dad. I had to learn how to be a father, that it can be done, of course it can be done, but it is extremely difficult, very difficult. To those who are already making it, congratulations, congratulations and my respects. For those who do not have children, it is also not mandatory to have any. Know how to choose who you are going to give birth to, so as not to give birth to a little boy to grow up alone, children need a father figure.

You see motherhood for real.

Yeah, I don’t like selling that movie that, ‘Oh, that’s fabulous.’ It’s spectacular to have children, but if you can avoid it until you feel sufficiently prepared, avoid it, because bringing children into the world, because you feel like the super powerful woman and the child raised only with you, is not right. Children need mom and dad, so you have to know how to choose the man who will give birth to them.
