There will be the participation of more than 70 officers from the Corps of Traffic Officers belonging to the Ministry of Transport and Public Works to facilitate traffic and order the traffic(s).

the train station Withdrawal is preparing a series of works that will temporarily change the daily dynamics at the entrance to the station train and the stops of some buses and taxis. Thus, faced with these works of “reorganization of the public space”, the Government of the City of Buenos Aires informed of the emergency plan which provides for the transfer of seven bus stops collectivetwo of Taxis and that it will have the presence of more than 70 traffic officers and awareness officers who will guide pedestrians and public transport users.

In order to protect the safety and accessibility of 200,000 people who travel daily in the Retiro district, the government of Buenos Aires has announced its reorganization plan for one of the busiest areas of the city, where more than 28 bus lines converge.

While the work continues, José María Ramos Avenue will remain closed between Antártida Argentina Avenue and the access to the Line C metro station. For its part, pedestrian traffic will be diverted to the two lanes adjacent to the neighbor’s sidewalk at train and bus stations.

Relocation of bus stops

In turn, the works will cancel the stops of lines 28-70-75-92-100-101 and 150 located on José María Ramos Mejía between av. Argentine Antarctica and Padre Mugica. They will be relocated to hostels across from Plaza Canada:

● Line 28: at the same place as the stop for line 143.

● Line 70: at the same place as the stop for line 33.

● Line 75: at the same place as the stop for line 20

● Line 92: at the same place as the stop for line 91.

● Line 100: at the same place as the stop for line 115.

● Line 101: at the same place as the line 5 stop.

● Line 150: at the same place as the stop for line 108.

As for the train, the entrances to the FFCC Belgrano Norte and San Martín stations are activated through the side doors. So they have to move two stops. The first, located in front of the Belgrano Norte station, runs parallel to the fences. Then the second, located opposite the bus station, will run on Av. Ramos Mejía in front of Av. Antarctica Argentina. Meanwhile, the one in front of the Miter Line station will continue in its usual place.

The works in the Retiro area involve the intervention of approximately 4,500 square meters of sidewalks, where a peripheral fence has already been placed, and the stops of the transhipment center with electrical installation and fine adjustment of furniture. During this time, the structures of the Av. Antártida walkway will also be painted and the railings will be repaired.

In this context, the 100% LED lighting will be reinforced, the double luminaries of the central platforms of Ramos Mejía Avenue will be replaced by trefoils with 4 luminaries in columns of 9 meters. Work will also be carried out on the pedestrian lighting in the existing columns on Avenida del Libertador (on the sidewalk of the railway line).

Another of the changes is the activation of a specific hygiene plan for the route of Ramos Mejía Avenue where the collection service has been doubled, the containers will be moved, there will be hydrowashing tasks on the sidewalks and roads. In addition, the replacement and maintenance of newspaper and flower stalls that are not in good condition will be carried out.

At the same time, the road and the entire horizontal demarcation will be repaved over 9 blocks of Avenida Ramos Mejía. And patching and horizontal demarcation tasks will be carried out on Avenida del Libertador. Plaza Canada and its surroundings will also be involved, with the supply and installation of lawn (6,000 m2), replacement of trees (37 banana trees, 17 tipas and 23 jacarandas), replacement of plants (550 foxtails), leveling, replacement of stone granza and landscaped green embankment.

The work is part of the Global Transfer Center Improvement Plan, which aims to improve the travel experience of more than one million passengers. In parallel, work is also underway to improve the Constitución, Liniers and Sáenz centres.
