Carlos Reinoso He is considered one of the most iconic players in the history of the eagles of america. Although he participated in one of the best moments of the team as a player and technical director, in addition to fame, he lived one of the most difficult moments of his life due to his drug addiction. Years later, he told the Donkey Van Rankin the excesses he experienced and his recovery process.

In a conversation with the comedian on the show SagFuthe Maestro Reinoso confessed that he could daily consume up to “20 passes of coke”. The excessive use of the substance, according to him, is caused by the avoidance of certain problems in his personal life or the intention of decrease the effect of other drugs and harmful substances such as alcohol.

“My biggest triumph in life was getting off drugs. (…) Blessed be God, I can say that I recovered more than 30 years ago. (It cost me) a world (of work). It’s not easy, but I got very close to God and my daughter Paola helped me a lot. It is a fight that I won with faith in God and with the approach of my children,” he recalled.

The Chilean footballer has explored the two most media facets of football-related characters, namely that of player and that of technical director. In his speech, he did not give details of the timeline in which he had to deal with addictions, however, based on the references he gave, it is possible that it was during his time as a coach.

It should be mentioned that between the years of 1992 and 1994Reinoso occupied the Shoal of red sharks from Veracruz. In this sense, he affirmed that when he was living in the port, he received a visit from his children Paola and José, for which he made the decision to return to Mexico City to start take care of their troubles of addiction.

“One day we went christian friendship and I was with the drugs in my pockets. I heard the pastor preach and felt like all the sins of the world i’ve had and a few others. At that moment I started crying, I think I was also with my brother Victor Hugo, and when I got home I threw away the drugs“, he counted.
