Campinense fell 2-0 and failed to qualify for the second phase

The match corresponding to key 1 of the Brazil tournament – Brazil Cup 2023, between Campinense and Grêmio, ended 0-2 in favor of the visit. The visitor’s goals were scored by Franco Cristaldo (26′ 1T) and Ferreira (41′ 2T).

Franco Cristaldo rocked the stadium with his definition, in the 26th minute of the first leg. A cross from Luis Suárez left behind the wheel to define from the big box and put the ball in the goal defended by Otávio de Paula Passos.

Otavio was the party figure. The Campinense goalkeeper was fundamental in stopping 9 shots.

Another important player in the game was Franco Cristaldo. The Grêmio midfielder scored 1 goal and touched goal 3 times.

There were no setbacks with the judge and there was a match where the creation of the game won without too many faults.

Campinense technical director Leston Júnior proposed a 4-5-1 strategy with Otávio in goal; Thiago Ennes, Diego Silva, William and Bruno Collaço on the defensive line; Guilherme Escuro, Paulo Victor, Ramires, Diego Viana and Mauri in the middle; and Vanderlan in the attack.

For their part, those led by Renato Portaluppi stood with a 4-5-1 scheme with Adriel under the three sticks; John Peter, Bruno Alves, Walter Kannemann and Reinaldo in defence; Mathias Villasanti, Pepê, Bitello, Franco Cristaldo and Vina in midfield; and Luis Suarez up front.

The judge selected for the match at the Mané Garrincha National Stadium was Luiz De Oliveira.

With this triumph, Grêmio moved on to the second phase of Brazil – Copa Brasil 2023.
