SOFIA, Feb 17 (Reuters) – Bulgaria has backed away from its goal of adopting the euro in January 2024, Finance Minister Rositsa Velkova said on Friday, adding it could join the common currency in 2025.

“We have not kept our commitments to join the euro and we must respect the inflation criteria,” Velkova told reporters.
