Boca inaugurated this week the traveling museum “Gifts. We have always been, we are and we will be” as part of the International Working Women’s Day. The exhibition that members can enter with their card in hand (through Brandsen’s door 805) is in the Bombonera itself and will last until 7:00 p.m. today, Saturday.
The exhibition has great symbolic meaning and historical reparation that seeks to recognize and vindicate the women who wrote the glorious pages of history xeneize before years of invisibility.
Among the winners are julia proudthe club’s historic laundress who lived under the stalls in the middle; Manuela Farengafounding member of CABJ; Josefa de Brancatofirst life member; The Raulitothe most emblematic supporter of the club; Beatrice Marichalar, promoter of women’s basketball in Boca; the Champions of 92, the first Gladiators, and their captain Liliana Rodriguez; Selva d’ElbaBoca fan and world champion, remembered every August 21 with Footballer’s Day; Marcela Leschemblematic player and technical director of the women’s football team; So Villanuevaformer player and current stalwart of the women’s soccer premier and reserve; Nancy Cieplakformer volleyball player and current kinesiologist for the women’s volleyball and soccer teams; Florence Quinonesformer captain of the Gladiadoras, currently a futsal player at Boca and an assistant for our country’s under-15 and 17 teams; Andrea OjedaXeneize top scorer with over 500 goals scored; Chu Cossarmulti-champion and main referent of women’s volleyball.
“We have decided to claim, make visible and recognize all those who, with their efforts, commitment and dedication, whatever their task for the club, have made history”mentioned the third vice-president, Adriana Bravo, during the opening ceremony.
Club General Secretary Ricardo Rosica and AFA Gender and Equity Manager Paula Ojeda and many winners supported the event; the 1992 first-team champion soccer team including Liliana Rodríguez and Eliana Villanueva; Florence Quinones; Chu Cossar; Nancy Ciepack; Vuelta de Rocha firefighters; Falklands veteran and Boca fanatic Marta Giménez; CABA legislator, partner and Boca fan, Magdalena Tiesso; Gabriel Fieres (son of Julia Fieres); among other personalities and leaders of the institution.
