The president of the United States, Joe Bidenarrived this Monday evening in Warsaw after a train journey of more than eight hours from kyiv to the border town of Industry and a flight in the Air Force One in the Polish capital.

Biden took the train at 1:10 p.m. local time from Kiev (11:10 a.m. GMT) and arrived at Przemyśl station, in southeastern Poland and near the border with Ukraine, at 8:45 p.m. local time (6:45 p.m. GMT) . ).

Later, the 80-year-old president boarded the presidential plane from Rzeszów airport (90 kilometers away) at 10:30 p.m. (20:30 GMT) and an hour later he landed in the Polish capitalwhere a delegation of American officials was waiting for him.

The White House had not revealed until now how Biden entered Ukraine and how he planned to leave. For safety reasons.

“I think it is essential that there is no question of the support of the United States for Ukraine”, underlined the president.

The Ukrainian president said on social media that the visit of his American counterpart was “an extremely important sign of support for all Ukrainians”. “This conversation (with Biden) brings us closer to victory,” Zelensky said.
