Rome, 15 Feb. The court in Milan (north) today acquitted former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in the case which tried to clarify whether he had bribed witnesses, in particular women, so that they would not reveal what s happened at his controversial private parties in 2010.
The tycoon, now 86, has been charged with a crime of corruption for allegedly paying for the silence of attendees at his parties, 28 of whom were charged in this trial with perjury and who were also acquitted.
Last May, the Milan prosecutor’s office requested six years in prison and the seizure of 10.8 million euros. ECE
