The tricolor senator added that it is a historic moment for women’s participation in a variety of fields and who has the experience necessary to lead an effective government.

“I am convinced that this is a stage where the leading role of women is expressed in all activities and, in this sense, my experience as a governor, my experience as a civil servant in the federal government, my experience as a legislator, as an ambassador let me cover various facets of what a president needs“, he said.

Although he denied considering himself better than the other candidates to represent the opposition, he affirmed that he has a very complete training which allows him to understand the diversity of Mexico.

If selected as a candidate for Va por México, the alliance made up of the Institutional Revolutionary, National Action and Democratic Revolution parties, Paredes could face a woman: Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

Paredes made these statements during his visit to the state of Guanajuato, where he took part in various activities, including a meeting with a civil association on February 24.

“Today I met the Foro Plural Guanajuato, AC, a space in which citizens and executives of different political parties participate and in which ideas on the problems that afflict the state and the country are discussed.”

Beatriz Paredes has been involved in various fields. As part of his political career, he served as Governor of the state of Tlaxcala, Secretary General of the National Peasant Confederation and President of the PRI.

As part of his legislative career, he was local deputy in the Congress of Tlaxcala, federal deputy and senator. She was president of the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies and the Congress of the Union.

In administrative matters, she held the positions of Under-Secretary for Agrarian Reform, Under-Secretary of the Government, Under-Secretary for Political Development, government secretary. He was also a member of the boards of directors of Banco de Crédito Rural, BANOBRAS and the National DIF Council.

It developed as Mexican Ambassador to Cuba and Mexican Ambassador to Brazil.

She graduated in Sociology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He studied a postgraduate degree in Spanish-American literature at the University of Barcelona.

In recent months he has drawn attention for being criticism of the reforms promoted by the government in turn, including electoral. During the vote on the so-called Plan B, he was among those who opposed its approval.
