Miguel Angel Pichetto, Auditor General of the Nation, caused a stir last night with his controversial statements about the head of the Ministry of Women, Gender and National Diversity, Ayelen Mazzina, whom he blamed for the role of his portfolio in the Lucio Dupuy affair. Pichetto also claimed that at the head of this portfolio should be “a woman” and not “a lesbian girl”. The official official responded this Saturday morning with a challenging message on social networks, as a reply to the former national senator.

“I am a woman, lesbian, feminist and Minister for Women, Gender and Diversity of the Nation and I invite Pichetto to talk about ESI when you feel ready,” reads the message posted by Minister Mazzina on her Twitter account. In this way, the official quickly referred to the Comprehensive National Sex Education Curriculum, created by Law 26.150, which provides for the issuance of ESI in all educational institutions in the country, of public and private management, and at all levels, but also surely to the mandatory training in gender perspective determined by law Micaela 27499 for all members of the three powers of the state.

Then, Mazzina appealed to irony and the popular gif of a visibly disoriented girl – in this case because of Pichetto’s statements – to end her response: “Meanwhile, lesbians who watch Pichetto say we we are not women.”

Last night the leader of Ensemble for Change spoke about Mazzina when asked about the role of the Women’s Ministry in the Lucio Dupuy case, as those convicted of the child’s murder took part in meetings of the feminist movement. “The Ministry of Women is in the hands of a girl who she’s a lesbian, they could have put a woman», declared Pichetto during a dialogue with Jonathan Viale on the antenna of NL+.

Following the impact generated by his statements, the National Auditor General defended himself through a message posted on his Twitter account. On the said platform, she maintained that her intention “was to denounce that the Ministry of Women did not repudiate the murder of Lucio Dupuy because the sexual orientation of the minister coincided with that of the perpetrators of the crime”.

In the same vein, the referent of the opposition reiterated: “I am in favor of the exercise of everyone’s freedom as to their decisions. He also recalled that, throughout his political career and, mainly during his time in the Senate, he had voted in favor of “all the equalization of rights which concern said individual freedom”, which is why he shared his speech in the debate for the approval of the Equal Marriage Act. During his presentation, he defended the state’s obligation to “guarantee happiness”, as well as the rights to equality and liberty.

Regarding the crime of Lucio Dupuy, Pichetto defined it as a “tremendous fact” and wondered: “Where was the judge? A lady who also took it from her grandfather”, for which she said that “they should have started a political trial and deported her because she never controlled what happened to the child when she gave it to these two women”.
