The New South Wales State Police, in Australia, has launched an investigation to clarify the deaths of 14 kangaroos on the south coast of the country, which the authorities attribute to a “deliberate murder”.

In a statement distributed this Saturday, the Police assure that they are examining the recordings of the security cameras in the area and have questioned several witnesses.

The agents were alerted during the morning of Saturday of the presence of several dead kangaroos in the area of ​​Long Beach, in Bateman’s Bay, about 270 kilometers south of the capital, Sydney.

When they went, they found the 14 dead animals at two different points in the area. “The initial investigations suggest that they have been murdered deliberately,” reads the police statement.

The authorities have asked the population for help to identify the driver of a vehicle seen in the area during the night between Friday and Saturday.
