After completing a few days of hospitalization, the presenter of the program Hello Colombia, Ana Karina Sotowas released on Tuesday, February 14, after being forced into a clinic in Bogotá due to kidney stones that triggered a urinary tract infection.

On her Instagram account, Ana Karina let her followers know that from Wednesday, February 15, she will return to the morning program of RCN channel:

“My treatment is going very well. The new antibiotic is working and they’re going to let me out, I’m going home and I can wait for Alejandro (Aguilar, the actress’s husband), I’m going to continue taking care of myself. Tomorrow I go back to Mañanas Express and Buen Día Colombia, get ready because I leave with all the powers. Thank you for the messages these days and thank you to the clinic staff”

Recall that in mid-January 2023, the Norsantanderan host suffered an accident during the broadcast of the program during which one of the toes of her left foot was fractured, forcing her to be absent for several days due to disability. .

Almost a month after said episode, Ana Karina said that she was going through health issues, especially a series of discomforts that caused her back pain. He immediately recounted that the doctors informed him that the pain was due to kidney stones which were examined by specialists, pending treatment to follow.

In a later post, he said that now the pain has moved to his legs, apologizing to his Instagram followers for not being more present at this time:

“I hadn’t greeted them because I wasn’t presentable, and lo and behold, last night I had a terrible leg ache. Like he had run the half marathon. We went from stoning pain to the leg pain. It was unbearable”

Later, it was learned that said pain was also the product of a urinary tract infection, the product of complications in the treatment of his kidney stones, as the bacteria they were fighting had proven resistant to the antibiotics initially supplied. For this reason, she was forced to be hospitalized for a few more days until the health problem was resolved.

In the early morning hours of February 14, he confirmed that the treatment was going very well, with a post on his Instagram account. A few hours later he confirmed in his stories that he would be released the same day and in his stories he continued to report on his news, now from his home. There, he remembers the times he spent in the hospital:

“I was in so much pain that from the moment I left the apartment, I went to pray to the Virgin, God, and I thought I was going to die. We got to the emergency room, I couldn’t even walk. I felt like throwing up and told Alejandro “I can’t take this pain”. Luckily they prescribed me some quick painkillers because it’s very painful not knowing what you have. I felt pain in my back, legs, stomach, neck, neck, head, nausea…I wouldn’t wish that on anyone”

Ana Karina said the doctor told her that the situation was complicated, since the urinary tract infection had to be treated first before the stone could be extracted. This led the broadcaster to point out that his recovery was “a miracle”.
