California actor Danny Trejo filed for bankruptcy on Tuesday. The decision involved the reorganization of his assets to help meet a debt of approximately two million dollars in taxes.
In his statement to TMZ, the “Machete” protagonist confirmed that he has a debt to the IRS since he made erroneous reductions in your taxes over the years and finally got to the point where you can’t do anything but declare bankruptcy.
Though he made it clear that the move doesn’t affect his many businesses, including his record label, cafeterias/donut shops, and, of course, his famous Trejo’s Tacos.
The outlet explained that these companies are owned by corporations and LLCs he set up to run them, and they were assured that their own financial troubles did not reflect their production. On the contrary, all indications suggest that Trejo is doing very well in the market.
